Man of a Machine of a Man emerged from a writing session between myself and Jordan. I came up with the main theme that we end up hearing in the song on the spot. Jordan liked it quite a bit, to my surprise actually, because I thought it was a bit boring. Originally, I envisioned a really groovy, almost motown-esque song with brass instruments. Jordan heard something completely different though. He transformed it into a technical fusion song. This quickly became my favourite song of ours to play live. What I particularly like about this song is how the time signature doesn't change. A lot of songs with odd time signatures tend to change it often, but we kept the 7/4 groove going all the way. It's almost easier than going back to 4/4... almost. - Felix
